Mother’s Day is just around the corner and we already know the best gift for mom is a massage, facial or body treatment! To make things easier, here are a few ways for different moms to find the right experience.
For moms with daughters: There’s nothing quite like the bond between a mother and a daughter. While there are stages of complete and total humiliation, in the end you have a best friend, true confidant and cheerleader for life. Spend some time nurturing that bond with a mother-daughter massage or body treatment at Good For You Massage & Day Spa.
For new moms: Let’s face it, becoming a mother does not come with any free time. Suddenly every second is cherished, and a much needed hour massage at Good For You Massage & Day Spa can relax and rejuvenate “SuperMom”.
For grandma: Any woman would agree: The word “anti-aging” makes our ears perk up. Good For You Massage & Day Spa is the perfect location for results-oriented, no-frills, anti-aging facials. Chances are, grandma has plenty of time to relax, so what she’ll really want is something that’s going to make her look and feel like she did back when Bing Crosby was putting number-one hits on the Billboard charts.
For any mom: No two moms are alike. Some love a facial, body treatment, massage, or all three. No matter what mom loves, Good For You Massage & Day Spa Gift Certificates make the perfect gift! They can be used on an endless array of service or treatments.

Still lagging a little from losing that hour? Some of us still have clocks that are an hour behind and some of us are still tired from losing that hour of sleep weeks ago.
Springing forward can be a little rough, no doubt about it. Sure the staying-lighter-later thing is awesome, but the still-dark-in-the-morning thing, not so much.
We have just what you need to help make the adjustment, a Mocha Body Scrub & Wrap. The invigorating coffee scent will have you forgetting all about that hour of sleep you missed.
Starting out as a Body Polish, to soften your skin; we then wrap you in the warmth of coffee, allowing the anti-oxidants in the coffee to absorb and brighten dull skin cells. We leave you with a generous application of warm hazelnut-chocolate body cream, giving you a wonderful glow.
Do you feel like your skin could use a full body pick-me-up now that spring has begun? How about treating yourself to a Body Polish at 25% off (regular price $75). This one-hour service is complete with hot towels, a scalp massage and ultimate relaxation!
Choose between one of the following:
Champagne & Rose Scrub/Cream
Coconut Lime Scrub/Cream
Green Tea Scrub/Cream
Peppermint Stick Scrub/Cream
Pumpkin Spice Scrub/Cream
This treatment will detoxify your skin while gently exfoliating the dead skin cells away. The result is a smoother more refreshed feeling!

Traditional massage techniques employ the use of the Massage Therapist’s hands to compress tissue and push out blood and lymph from an area, allowing the body’s natural ability to pull fresh blood into the space. By contrast, cupping methods create a negative pressure, or suction, on the skin that pulls up tissue and actively draws blood and other fluids close to the surface. This pulling action on the body engages the parasympathetic nervous system and induces a deep relaxation. Cupping can be an effective complementary technique when used in conjunction with massage therapy.
Cupping is a process in which suction is used to relieve local congestion. The suction is created by using mechanical means to create a partial vacuum, which draws blood and other fluids closer to the surface of the skin allowing the body to rid itself of toxins more easily.
The suction can be light, medium or strong depending on whom it is used and which tools are utilized. For example, light cupping or suction is appropriate for children and the elderly, while strong cupping is contraindicated for them. There is also massage cupping, sometimes referred to as moving cupping, which uses a weak suction with the cups sliding across an oiled body surface, such as the back.
Cupping can be used for many pathologies, most of which are considered to be caused by stagnation or congestion of energy, blood or mucus as categorized by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). These include, among others:
Respiratory disorders, such as colds, flu and asthma
Constipation and diarrhea
The cups with vacuum pumps are placed over the afflicted areas of the body or over related acupressure points. They are left in position for five to 15 minutes, depending on the strength of the suction. Bruising and occasionally blistering, following the shape and size of the cup will generally occur where the worst of the congestion has been negatively affecting the body.
Confection connoisseurs will enjoy the scents of coconut and chocolate in this facial. Coconut and papaya enzymes dissolve dead skin cells revealing healthy, soft skin. Cocoa, glycerin and squalane are excellent emollients, lubricants and humectants to draw moisture to dry, flaky skin. Vitamin E is an excellent anti-aging antioxidant.
